CAREER NOTES: Played his first professional season with Milwaukee (AHL) in 2009-10, appearing in 36 of the team’s 80 games… Posted his best stretch of his rookie season from Oct. 31-Dec. 15, 2009 where he posted an 8-3-2 record with a 1.98 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage… Won the Del Wilson Trophy as the Western Hockey League’s Goaltender of the Year for the second consecutive season in 2008-09, becoming first goalie since Mike Vernon (Calgary, 1982-83) to win the top goaltender award in consecutive seasons, and just the fourth to win it twice… A 2008-09 First Team Western Conference WHL All-Star selection… Ranked second in the WHL in save percentage (.921), fourth in wins (35), fifth in goals-against average (2.28) and tied for third in shutouts (6)… Represented the WHL in the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge, and notched a 16-save shutout in his lone start – a 5-0 Team WHL win – on Nov. 29… Won a gold medal with Canada at the 2009 World Junior Championships, going 2-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average, .958 save percentage and a shutout… Ranked sixth in wins (6) and eighth in goals-against average (3.41) in the 2009 WHL Playoffs… Won the 2008 Del Wilson Trophy while leading the Tri-City Americans to the Scotty Munro Trophy as the league’s regular season champions in 2007-08… Led all WHL goaltenders in wins (46) and ranked fourth in the league in save percentage (.918) in 2007-08… His 46 wins set a Tri-City franchise record, breaking Brian Boucher’s previous mark of 33 wins in 1995-96… Helped the Americans to the 2008 WHL Western Conference Final with a 1.78 goals-against average and a .937 save-percentage in the playoffs… Served as backup to Carey Price, now of the Montreal Canadiens, from 2005-07… His brother, Calvin, also a goaltender, plays for the WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds… Wears number 37 because of Washington's Olaf Kolzig – Kolzig is also the owner of the Tri-City Americans.
