Acquired: Signed by Nashville as a free agent on June 1, 2007.
CAREER NOTES: Started the 2009-10 season with Farjestad (Sweden), before joining JYP (Finland) on Jan. 30, 2010… Posted points (7g-14a) in 13-of-19 SM-Liiga games with JYP in 2009-10… Posted a +10 in 19 2009-10 regular season games for JYP, tops among players dressing for less than 25 contests… Helped JYP to a bronze medal in the 2010 playoffs… Tied for second on JYP in points (4g-4a-8pts) and goals, and tied for third in assists, during the 2010 SM-Liiga Playoffs… Played in all seven of Finland’s games at the 2010 World Championships… Played in nine games for Finland during the 2009-10 European Hockey Tour, posting one goal… Began the 2008-09 season with Milwaukee before being recalled to Nashville on Nov. 24, 2008. Spent the rest of the season with the Predators… Posted points/assists in back-to-back games for the first time in his NHL career Feb. 5-6, 2009… Notched his first career NHL point/assist on the game-winning goal on Dec. 4 vs. Colorado, then scored his first NHL goal two games later on Dec. 8, 2008 at St. Louis... Made his 2008-09 season debut Nov. 25 vs. St. Louis… Led the 2008-09 Admirals in goals (8), and ranked second in points (12) in 15 games at the time of his Nov. 24 recall… Recalled by Nashville from Milwaukee (AHL) on Dec. 14, 2007, and played his first NHL game the following night at Colorado… Led Milwaukee in goals (27) and ranked fifth on the club in points (45) in his first North American professional season in 2007-08… Also paced the 2007-08 Admirals in shots (207), ranked second in power-play goals (9), and tied for second in both plus/minus rating (+7) and shorthanded goals (2)… Earned a bronze medal with Finland at the 2008 World… Led Finland in goals (5) and plus/minus rating (+7), while tying for second on the team in points (7) at the 2008 World Championships… Ranked third in goals and fifth in points (16g-23a-39pts) with Finland’s HPK Hameenlinna in 2006-07… Ranked second in points (9) and assists (5), and tied for second in goals (3) during the 2007 Finnish League playoffs, helping HPK to a bronze medal… Tied for fifth in goals (11) for SaiPa in 2005-06… Posted an assist in three games with HPK during the 2007 Champions Cup… Played three seasons in the Espoo (Finland) organization from 2002-05, posting 11 points (5g-6a) in 102 games for the senior team and 58 points (20g-38a) in 70 games for the junior team… Captured a Finnish Junior League bronze medal with the Espoo Jr. squad in 2003, posting two points (1g-1a) in 10 postseason games.
