Predators Radio Network
Predators Radio Network: 2009-10 Flagship Station Schedule
104.5 The Zone (WGFX 104.5-FM) returns for its fourth season as the flagship radio station of the Nashville Predators. This year’s broadcast will feature an exclusive radio broadcast in an effort to better serve the listening audience. Tom Callahan, a sportscaster with 10 seasons of professional hockey experience, will call the action for the club’s 55 games that air on Fox Sports South, and will join the longtime team of Pete Weber (play-by-play) and Terry Crisp (color analyst) for the other 27 contests.
WGFX will carry all preseason, regular season and post-season Predators games that do not conflict with its previous broadcast commitments. All regular-season and playoff games will include a post-game show, with those following home games originating from the Sommet Center’s Suite Level Club.
WGFX afternoon personality Willy Daunic will be the primary host for radio broadcasts, providing game analysis, player interviews and profiles, NHL scores and highlights before, during and after the final horn. 104.5 The Zone will continue to be the home of hockey on Nashville’s radio dial in 2007-08, airing player/coach shows, game-day updates, weekly reports and additional weekly programming.
104.5 The Zone features highly-rated morning (The Wake-Up Zone with Mark Howard, Frank Wycheck and Kevin Ingram, Monday-Friday, 6:00-10:00 a.m. CT) and afternoon-drive (The Sports Zone with George Plaster, Willy Daunic and Darren McFarland, Monday-Friday, 3:00-7:00 p.m.) shows, with both welcoming Predators players, coaches and other personnel on as guests on a regular basis. The Sports Zone Pre-Game Show (Monday-Friday, 2:00-3:00 p.m. CT), hosted by McFarland, dedicates an entire show to hockey each week. Additionally, the station hosts a Predators player’s show live in downtown Nashville during the season.
