Nashville Predators Training Camp Opens Sept. 18
First day on the ice comes September 19 at Centenntial Sportsplex
Nashville, Tenn. (September 5, 2014) – Nashville Predators Training Camp will open with physicals and a team meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18 at Bridgestone Arena, with the team’s first day on the ice coming Friday, Sept. 19 at 8:45 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex. A complete training camp roster and schedule is attached. Dates, times and roster are subject to change.
The Predators’ three-week camp marks the start of the Peter Laviolette era in Smashville, and is highlighted by six preseason games, the first coming after just four days on the ice at Tampa Bay on Sept. 23. A team of Predators will also travel to Columbus on Oct. 4, while hosting four games – Sept. 25 vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning, a doubleheader Sept. 27 against the Florida Panthers, and Sept. 29 vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets.
All training camp sessions – with the exception of morning skates on Sept. 25 and 29 – will be held at Centennial Sportsplex, including a scrimmage on Sept. 21.
Fifty-seven players will attend 2014 Training Camp – 46 players under contract with Nashville, six on American Hockey League contracts with Milwaukee, one on a tryout agreement and four unsigned draft picks. Thirty-four are forwards, 17 are defensemen and six are goaltenders.
