Nashville, Tenn. – The Nashville Predators announced today that Perani’s Hockey World, one of the premier hockey shops in the United States, will operate the pro shop inside the new Ford Ice Center in Antioch, Tennessee.

Based in Flint, Michigan, Perani’s was founded by former pro hockey player Bob Perani in 1976. In their nearly 40 years of existence, Perani’s has opened 23 retail stores currently and with their E-commerce business has grown to be one of the largest in North America. As a company that services both the future professionals – Mike Modano purchased his first pair of skates from the store – as well as the recreational skater, Perani’s is dedicated to offering their customers the best customer service, the lowest prices and the largest product selection.

“Partnering with Perani’s, one of America’s foremost providers in the retail hockey equipment industry, brings yet another tremendous asset to Ford Ice Center,” Nashville Predators Executive Vice President Chris Parker said. “The Predators are excited to be able to help bring this level of unparalleled service, price and selection to Middle Tennessee.”

Of Perani’s 23 retail stores, 14 are located in Michigan, three in Ontario, two in Ohio (Columbus coming soon), and one each in Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. With their 24th newest store opening in Nashville, Perani’s brings Middle Tennessee never- before-seen servicing for beginners and elite athletes, men and women, hockey players, figure skaters, teams and more.

“We are thrilled to enter this partnership with a great organization like the Nashville Predators and bring our brand and product to the southeast for the first time,” Perani’s Vice President Mike Sander said. “The Nashville area is a rapidly growing hockey market and we are excited to be a part of it.”

Ford Ice Center, along with the new Perani’s store, is set to open in mid-August with a Grand Opening celebration coming in September.
