Nashville Predators Youth Hockey Summerfest Headlines Summer Programming
Nashville, Tenn. – With warmer months just around the corner, the Nashville Predators Youth Marketing & Fan Development department is gearing up for a summer full of youth hockey programming – including the 2014 Hockey Rules Summerfest Tour and the 14th Annual Nashville Predators Hockey School.
Hockey Rules Summerfest Tour
Now in its ninth summer, the Hockey Rules Summerfest Tour is a free, interactive hockey experience offered to Middle Tennessee sports camps from May to August. The clinics, which focus on basic hockey fundamentals like stick handling, shooting and teamwork also educate students on the rules of the game and the importance of physical fitness in a fun, educational atmosphere. The Preds provide all necessary equipment and instruction at no charge.
The Hockey Rules Summerfest Tour is a continuation of the Hockey Rules Tour held during the academic year. During the 2013-14 season, the Hockey Rules Tour traveled to 45 elementary and middle school gym classes, introducing more than 5,000 students to the Nashville Predators and the sport of hockey.

The Nashville Predators Hockey School series is a great summer opportunity for boys and girls to learn more about the game of hockey, log quality ice time, and receive instruction from qualified and professional staff with appearances from players, prospects, alumni and coaches. In addition to receiving instruction using progressive teaching methods and innovative conditioning techniques, participants will receive a Hockey School jersey, dri-fit shirt, group photo and more.
The week-long camps are geared toward male and female youth recreational and travel hockey players and goaltenders. Participants are grouped by ability to enhance their learning environment. The Nashville Predators strongly recommend beginners have some skating ability. All participants must provide their own equipment.
