Ford Ice Center Quickly Moving Towards Completion
Visit the Ford Ice Center, located at the Global Mall at the Crossings in Antioch, Tenn., and you\u2019ll see that the landscape is regularly changing.

Visit the Ford Ice Center, located at the Global Mall at the Crossings in Antioch, Tenn., and you’ll see that the landscape is regularly changing. The roof over the north rink has recently been completed and the south rink roof will be done by the last week in April. As the Ford Ice Center prepares to open its doors in August, take a look at some of the numbers below to learn more about Middle Tennessee’s newest ice rink.

3,000 – Families that have graduated from the Get Out and Learn (G.O.A.L) Program presented by Erie Insurance since its inception in October 2006. Ford Ice Center will be home to an expansion of G.O.A.L., offering try-hockey-for-free clinics for ages eight to adult.

1,320 – Feet of walking trail available at the park next to the rink.

1,000 – Estimated pairs of skates in the first purchase order for use at the Ford Ice Center.

$895 – Cost per team to participate in the USA Hockey 2014 Nashville Adult Hockey Classic, Sept. 26-28. The tournament will be one of the first held at the new rink.

601 – Parking spaces available to those parking at the rink.

500 – First order of pucks by the Ford Ice Center.

30 – Percent growth in hockey program participation seen by Ford Ice Center Hockey Director Craig McDonald during his time at the Evansville (Ind.) Youth Hockey Association.
