Nashville Predators Recall Three From Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forwards Daniel Bång (DAN-yehl BOHNG), Kevin Henderson and Austin Watson from Milwaukee (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Bång, 25 (4/19/87), has played in Nashville’s last five games – his first five NHL contests – recording two points (2a). The Kista, Sweden native has 22 points (9g-13a) in 53 games for the Admirals during his first North American season. Prior to signing with the Predators last summer, the 6-3, 201-pound power forward spent six seasons with AIK’s senior team, posting 121 points (60g-61a) in 258 games.

Henderson, 26 (12/3/86), scored a goal in his NHL debut on Friday at Chicago. He has 29 points (17g-12a) in 67 games during his second season with the Admirals, and 76 points (31g-45a) in 234 AHL games with Milwaukee and Worchester since 2009. The 6-3, 210-pound Toronto native helped the University of New Brunswick win the 2009 CIS National Championship and was teammates with current Predators Nick Spaling (2005-07) and Matt Halischuk (2006-07) with the Kitchener Rangers.

Watson, 21 (1/13/92), has appeared in five games for Nashville since his first career recall on April 7. He leads the Admirals and is tied for fifth fifth among American Hockey League rookies in goals (20), in addition to ranking second on Milwaukee in points (37) in 2012-13. During a decorated junior career from 2008-12, the Ann Arbor, Mich., native won a pair of OHL titles (2009 and 2012) and a Memorial Cup (2009). With London a season ago, he was the recipient of the 2012 Wayne Gretzky 99 Award presented to playoff MVP, in addition to being named to the Memorial Cup tournament all-star team. The 6-3, 193-pound forward represented the United States at the 2012 World Junior Championships, leading the team in points (9) and assists (6).

The Predators play their final home game of 2012-13 tonight when they host the Calgary Flames. The game is Nashville Predators Fan Appreciation Night, where there will be special giveaways and promotions throughout the night for all fans in attendance. The game will broadcast on Fox Sports Tennessee (1675 HD, 28 SD) and 102.5 FM The Game.
