Nashville Predators Recall Smith From Milwaukee, Activate Gaustad

-Defenseman Scott Hannan also placed on Injured Reserve-

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Craig Smith from his conditioning assignment with Milwaukee (AHL), activated forward Paul Gaustad from Injured Reserve and placed defenseman Scott Hannan on Injured Reserve.

Smith, 23 (9/5/89), posted five points (1g-4a) in four games during his week with the Admirals. He has nine points (3g-9a) in 30 games this season for Nashville, with all but one of those points (an assist) coming in his last 15 games played.

Gaustad, 31 (2/3/82), has missed the past eight games with an upper-body injury. He ranks second in the NHL in face-off efficiency (60.7 percent), and has four points (1g-3a) in 19 games for Nashville this season.

The Nashville Predators head west to take on the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow at 2 p.m. CT (FOX Sports Tennessee, 1675HD, 28 SD and 102.5 FM The Game) before playing the Chicago Blackhawks in the Windy City on Monday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. (SportSouth, 1676 HD, 26 SD and 102.5 The Game). The team returns home on Tuesday, April 2 to face-off against the Avalanche for the second time in four days on a Twice Daily Super Tuesday Night, where fans will be able to purchase a pair of upper level tickets for just $55 or a pair of lower level tickets for $105. Tickets may be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office or through Ticketmaster. Twice Daily will offer a coupon for $5 off any Daily’s purchase, including gas.
