Nashville Predators Recall Beck From Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Taylor Beck from Milwaukee (AHL) and placed forward Paul Gaustad on Injured Reserve.
Beck, 21 (5/13/91), leads the Admirals in points (11g-30a-41pts) and power-play points (3g-9a-12pts) in 50 games this season, his second full professional campaign. Yet to appear in an NHL contest, the 6-2, 208-pound right wing ranked among the AHL’s Top 20 rookies in both points and goals in 2011-12. Nashville's fourth choice, 70th overall (third round), in the 2009 Entry Draft finished both the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons ranked among the Ontario Hockey League’s Top 10 in points and goals with the Guelph Storm.
The Nashville Predators close out a five-game road trip tonight at 6 p.m. when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena (Fox Sports Tennessee: 1675 HD, 28 SD and 102.5 FM The Game). The Predators return home on March 21 to take on the Calgary Flames at Bridgestone Arena for a College Night, presented by Taco Bell. On Saturday, the Predators take on the Columbus Blue Jackets for a Hockey Fights Cancer matchup. There will be several opportunities throughout the night for fans to donate to pediatric cancer research. Additionally, starting today fans can also text CHILDREN to 27722 to donate $10. One hundred percent of the money collected at the game will benefit the Nashville Predators Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
