-- After fifteen consecutive years of shows, Disney On Ice sees its most successful Bridgestone Arena run in October 2012 --

Nashville, Tenn. – Disney On Ice, Feld Entertainment’s traveling ice skating spectacular, recently had its most successful run ever at Bridgestone Arena with 37,874 fans stepping through the turnstiles Oct. 4-7. Bridgestone Arena has hosted Disney On Ice for fifteen consecutive seasons with the previous record of 29,785 set in 2011.

“Feld Entertainment, the promoter responsible for bringing fans the magic of Disney On Ice, consistently brings quality events for families to Nashville,” Bridgestone Arena VP of Booking David Kells said. “This year’s Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy show was a wonderful mix for children of all ages, featuring a variety of characters from Toy Story, Cars and The Little Mermaid, and Tinker Bell and the Disney Fairies. With so many spectacular Disney stories to choose from, we expect next year’s event to be even bigger and better.”

“We feel honored to have brought so many smiles to Nashville and created so many lifelong memories,” Director of Event Marketing for Feld Entertainment Jason Oschwald said. “And since the community has supported us so well, we like to give something back. This year Feld Entertainment donated $1 dollar for every ticket sold Friday night to Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. It’s just our way of saying ‘Thank You.’”

Feld Entertainment is the worldwide leader in producing and presenting live touring family entertainment experiences that lift the human spirit and create indelible memories, with 30 million people in attendance at its shows each year. Feld Entertainment's productions have appeared in more than 70 countries on six continents and include Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®, Feld Motor Sports, Disney On Ice and Disney Live!.

Serving as the home for numerous national and international events, Bridgestone Arena has the distinction of being one of the busiest venues in the Unites States over the past decade and a half. Bridgestone Arena was named the sixth-busiest building in the U.S. by Pollstar magazine in 2010 and 2011 and has been a finalist for their Concert Industry Arena of the Year Award in each of the past five years. The NHL’s Nashville Predators have been the primary tenants of Bridgestone Arena since 1998 – just two years after the venue opened its doors for its first concert. The list of acts that call Bridgestone Arena home is lengthy and includes the CMA Awards, the CMT Awards, Keith Urban’s “We’re All For the Hall” benefit concerts, Disney On Ice and NCAA Men’s Basketball tournaments in 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2012. The arena will also host the NCAA Women’s Final Four in 2014.
