Preds To Host Adult Hockey Clinic on November 10
-- Basic Adult Hockey Skills Clinic To Be Held At Bridgestone Arena --
With the growing number of adult hockey players in the Middle Tennessee area, the Nashville Predators are pleased to announce another adult hockey skills development clinic taking place on Saturday, November 10 at Bridgestone Arena.
The two-hour session is open to novice/intermediate level adult hockey players, both men and women, who are at least 18-years old. The clinic is structured in the same manner as the highly successful youth hockey Get Out And Learn (G.O.A.L!) program, which focuses on the basic hockey skills and strategies for intermediate level players. Sign-ups will be held online and is limited to 35 skaters and six goalies. All players are responsible for supplying their own FULL equipment.
On-Ice Topics will include: Introduction to hockey strategy, skating techniques (starting, stopping, edges, etc.), stick handling (control, heads-up play) and shooting and passing.
Goaltender topics will include: Positioning, movement and puck-handling.
Staff: Legendary enforcer/Preds Radio Analyst Stu Grimson, Preds Director of Hockey Operations Brian Poile, Preds Strength and Conditioning Coach David Good, Preds Video Coach Lawrence Feloney, Radio play-by-play announcer Tom Callahan and other Nashville Predators staff.
Who: Novice/intermediate level adult hockey players, both men and women, who are at least 18-years old
When: Saturday, November 10 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
(Time includes: Preds facilities tour and an hour and half of on-ice instruction)
Cost: $50 – Price includes two tickets to a future Nashville Predators home game
