alongside members of the Preds organization – Preds defensemen Jonathon Blum, Radio Play-by-Play Announcer Tom Callahan, and Preds Alumni and current Radio Color Analyst Stu Grimson. In addition, Preds forward Martin Erat and defenseman Kevin Klein made guest appearances to talk to the kids and checkout their development. A well-rounded curriculum included 2-3 daily ice sessions led by A-Game Hockey Director Tim McAllister and Jr. Preds Director Jamie Herrington, as well as daily off-ice conditioning, video review, Laser Chase and much more!

In addition, the Preds held the 4th Annual Little Preds Hockey School at A-Game in Franklin during the evenings of July 16-20. With over 120 youth hockey players ages 5-8 the sold out camp took over both sheet of ice. Little Preds Hockey School was geared towards the beginner to intermediate skill levels. Each night the kids worked over various hockey basics from skating to puck handling to shooting. On the last day team mascot GNASH came out to congratulate the kids. The Preds added a second week of Little Preds Hockey School July 29-August 2 rounding out the summer hockey school series with 3 week-long camp reaching almost 300 youth hockey players this summer.

With the growth of youth hockey participants in Middle Tennessee, Preds Hockey School is just one of many development opportunities offered by the organization. Parents interested in getting their kids involved in hockey should check out the Preds Get Out And Learn! free beginner hockey program from ages 5 to 8 at www.nashvillepredators.com/goal, or contact a rink near you on beginner skating or hockey programs.
