Arena\'s 15th Anniversary: Youth Hockey Takes Off
Every week throughout Bridgestone Arena's Anniversary Season, we will celebrate the Arena's 15 year partnership with the Middle Tennessee community.

15th Anniversary Reflections: Youth Hockey Takes Off

Since the Nashville Predators came to Middle-Tennessee, new participation in the sport of hockey has skyrocketted, making Nashville one of the fastest growing "hockey towns" in the country. Initiatives like the Preds G.O.A.L! Program and Hockey Rules! school visits have given rise to the success enjoyed by facilities like Centennial Sportsplex in downtown, A-Game in Franklin, and the growing in-line hockey rinks that have been built throughout the region.

Tim McAllister, A-Game Director of Hockey
Tim McAllister is the Director of Hockey and Ice Operations at A-Game in Franklin, TN. A member of the University of Alabama-Huntsville national championship team, McAllister also serves a lead instructor for the Nashville Predators Summer Hockey School sessions at A-Game.

Fact Of The Week:

  • Over 3,500 people participate in organized hockey leagues in the Nashville area, an increase of over 500% over the last 12 years, spurring the growth of facilities like Centennial Sportsplex in downtown and A-Game in Franklin.
