Fans in the United States will be treated to a Sunday doubleheader of NHL action on the NBC Sports Network as the playoff races head into the home stretch.

The first game begins at 5 p.m. ET when the Minnesota Wild visit Washington. The Caps need to beat the Wild to regain eighth place in the East -- they dropped into ninth place when the Buffalo Sabres beat the Wild on Saturday.

When that game is over, the action shifts to Chicago, where the Blackhawks will host Nashville. The Predators come to town after beating Winnipeg 3-1 on Saturday night, while the Hawks have been off since beating Vancouver 2-1 on Wednesday. That game can also be seen in Canada on TSN2.

Sunday's games begin at 3 p.m. ET when the Edmonton Oilers visit Columbus. In addition to the Wild-Caps game, the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers also face off at 5 p.m. ET. The Panthers enter the game four points ahead of Washington in the race for first place in the Southeast Division.

At 7 p.m. ET, Pittsburgh is back home after being routed 8-4 in Ottawa on Saturday to host New Jersey, a 4-3 shootout loser to Toronto on Friday. At 8 p.m., Boston wraps up its California trip with a stop in Anaheim -- the Bruins are coming off a 4-2 win at Los Angeles on Saturday.

In the last game of the night, St. Louis finishes a seven-game trip with a stop in Phoenix at 9 p.m. ET. The Coyotes start a four-game homestand after losing 4-3 in a shootout at San Jose on Saturday.
