Nashville Predators Set Franchise Record For Sellouts In A Season With 21
-Tonight’s game versus the Edmonton Oilers marks the 21st sellout of the season; previous record of 20 was set in the 1999-2000 campaign-

Nashville, Tenn. (March 20, 2012) – Tonight marks the Nashville Predators 21st sellout of the season, setting a franchise record for sellouts in a single campaign. The previous record of 20 was set in 1999-2000.

The Predators have gone 19-3-2 in their last 24 home games, and have only been dealt one regulation loss at Bridgestone Arena since Jan. 5 (12-1-2). Nashville ranks among the League’s best on home ice since the beginning of the 2005-06 season, compiling 178 home victories – ranking it second behind only Detroit in that span. The Predators are the only team in the NHL to post 23 home victories in seven consecutive seasons.

A factor in the Predators’ success has been the atmosphere in Bridgestone Arena. The Predators have sold out Smashville for 21 of their 37 home games this season and are averaging 16,645 fans per home game – 97.2 percent capacity. Last season, the Predators sold out Bridgestone Arena a total of 16 times and saw an average attendance of 16,143. The highest average attendance for a season in franchise history occurred in 1999-2000, when the Predators averaged 16,600 fans per game.

Not including tonight’s contest, the Nashville Predators have four home games remaining in the regular season. Ticket availability is extremely limited for the next two games (Saturday, March 24 vs. Winnipeg and Saturday, March 31 vs. Chicago) and pacing towards sellouts for the final two home games of the season (Tuesday, April 3 vs. Minnesota and Thursday, April 5 vs. Dallas). To purchase tickets for remaining home games, visit nashvillepredators.com or call 615-770-PUCK (7825).
