Arena\'s 15th Anniversary: Arena Lifts Local Lifestyle
Every week throughout Bridgestone Arena's Anniversary Season, we will celebrate the Arena's 15 year partnership with the Middle Tennessee community.

15th Anniversary Reflections: Arena Lifts Local Lifestyle

This week we reflect on the impact Bridgestone Arena and the Predators have had on the quality of entertainment options in the Middle Tennessee area, with Bridgestone Arena playing host to over 125 events a year, ranging from pro sports (Nashville Predators hockey) to college/amateur sports to concerts of all musical genres and sizes to family entertainment shows like the circus. With the majority of Bridgestone Arena patrons coming from outside of Nashville/Davidson County, the arena is central entertainment destination for the entire Middle Tennessee area.

Dave Herrell, Nashville Sports Council
Dave Herrell has been a member of the Nashville Sports Council for the past 15 years and was involved in Nashville's NHL expansion bid which yielded the awarding of the Predators franchise.

Fact Of The Week:

  • Rolling Stone named Nashville as the city with the best music scene in the country in its April 28, 2011 issue, with Bridgestone Arena hosting two of music industry's biggest award shows -- the CMA Awards in November and CMT Music Awards in June.
