What to Watch For...
Tuesday- Open Practice @ A-Game
Join the Nashville Predators for a day of family fun at A-Game (215 Gothic Cr., Franklin, TN 37067) on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, from 1:30-6 p.m. The day’s activities include a Nashville Predators Open practice, a public skate, a player autograph signing session and youth activities. A portion of the $7 public skate fee will benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. SCHEDULE: • 1-3 p.m. – Public Skate ($7 public skate fee, a portion of the proceeds go to Children’s Hospital)  • 3-5 p.m. – Nashville Predators take to the ice for an open-to-the-public practice  • 5-6 p.m. – Player autograph signings and youth activities in the courts

Thursday- Nashville vs Dallas Stars
Nashville is 0-1-0 against the Dallas Stars this season, with the Preds losing the game 6-3 in Dallas just over a week ago . Dallas will make their first trip of the season to Bridgestone Arena on Thursday and the Preds will be looking to even the series. Thursday is also College Night, presented by Taco Bell. Every Thursday, with proof of a college ID, receive an upper bowl ticket for $15 or a lower bowl ticket for $25. Drink specials will be offered to all those in attendance through the first intermission. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Tennessee (Comcast HD 1675) with radio coverage on the Preds Radio Network including flagship station 102.5FM The Game. Puck drops at 7:00pm/CT.

Saturday – Nashville vs Carolina Hurricanes
Nashville will welcome the Carolina Hurricanes to town on Saturday for the first match-up of the season between the two teams. In 2010-11, Nashville went 2-0-0 in the season series, with goalies Pekka Rinne and Anders Lindback picking up one win a piece. Saturday is a McDonald’s Family Four Pack night. This Week...
After a busy holiday stretch, the Preds have a slower week on tap this week, with just two games scheduled. Nashville hosts the Dallas Stars at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday and then wraps up the week with an out-of-conference match-up at home against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.


Injury Report
  • Kevin Klein returned to the line-up on Sunday against Calgary.
  • Shea Weber is on Injured Reserve with a concussion suffered Dec. 23 at Dallas.
  • Colin Wilson is out with an upper body injury suffered prior to the Dec. 30 game at St. Louis.

The Week That Was...
The Preds went 3-1-0 last week, closing out 2011 with shootout wins over Minnesota (Dec. 28) and at St. Louis (Dec. 30) before picking up a regulation win over Calgary on Sunday to open 2011.

Nashville closed out the week in the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference, but just three points out of the No. 4 seed and only six points behind Conference Leading Chicago.

Jordin Tootoo led the Preds with four points in the four games (1g-3a), while Sergei Kostitsyn paced the offense with three goals. Colin Wilson was scoreless in two games on the week, but converted the lone shootout tally in the Dec. 28 win and Martin Erat, also scoreless on the week, scored the only shootout goal on Dec. 30.

Pekka Rinne was between the pipes for all four games, posting a 2.16 goals against average and .920 save percentage. Additionally, Rinne turned aside all eight shootout attempts on the week.
