Preds Recall Kyle Wilson From AHL

Nashville, Tenn. (November 29, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled Kyle Wilson from Milwaukee (AHL).

Wilson, 26 (12/15/84), leads the Admirals in assists (9) and is tied for the team lead in points (13) through 17 games in 2011-12. The Oakville, Ont., native drafted 272nd (ninth round) by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 Entry Draft has also appeared in 34 NHL games with Washington and Columbus since 2009-10, registering 13 points (4g-9a). The 6-0, 200-pounder spent four seasons at Colgate University (ECAC) from 2002-06, recording 101 points (46g-55a) in 139 games.

After doubling up on the Oil last night with a 2-1 victory in Edmonton, the Predators look to make it back-to-back wins when they take on the Calgary Flames tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome (8:30 p.m., FS-TN, 102.5 The Game). The Preds finish off their current five-game trip on Thursday in Vancouver before returning to Smashville on Saturday to take on the Buffalo Sabres (7 p.m., McDonald’s Family 4 Pack Night). This December, after a decade and a half of events, Nashville’s own Bridgestone Arena celebrates its 15th anniversary. Bridgestone Arena first opened its doors to the public in December 1996 when it hosted Amy Grant’s Tennessee Christmas show, and has hosted more than 13 million guests for such events as the NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional Tournament; SEC and OVC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments; the CMA Awards; and CMT Music Awards; as well as entertainers such as Garth Brooks, Paul McCartney, Elton John and Billy Joel, Rolling Stones, Tim McGraw, KISS, Metallica and Lady Gaga. Since 1998, Bridgestone Arena has been the home of the Nashville Predators, who just recently played their 1000th game.
