Preds To Play 3 Home Games in 2011 Preseason
PREDATORS TO KICK-OFF EIGHT-GAME 2011 PRESEASON SCHEDULE WITH A DOUBLEHEADER ON SEPT. 19
-Slate includes home games against Winnipeg, Washington and Carolina-

Nashville, Tenn. (June 29, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the Predators will open their eight-game 2011 preseason schedule with a franchise-first doubleheader at the BankAtlantic Center on Monday, Sept. 19. The eight preseason games are the most the franchise has played since the 2002-03 campaign.

Nashville’s preseason schedule includes three home games: Saturday, Sept. 24 against Winnipeg; Wednesday, Sept. 28 vs. the Washington Capitals and Saturday, Oct. 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes. All three games at Bridgestone Arena will start at 7 p.m. CT.

In addition to their doubleheader in South Florida, the Predators will take part in the Baltimore Hockey Classic on Sept. 20 at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Md., where they’ll play the Washington Capitals and travel to Carolina (Sept. 23) and Winnipeg (Sept. 30) on consecutive Fridays.

The 2011-12 Nashville Predators rookie training camp is scheduled to open Friday, Sept. 9, with veterans reporting on Friday, Sept. 16 with testing and physicals. The Predators’ first day on the ice will be Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Centennial Sportsplex.

The Predators are set to host their third annual Skate of the Union event, to be held at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, July 13. The day is highlighted by a town hall meeting, select-a-seat opportunities, a used-equipment sale, autograph sessions, fun and games for the entire family and much more.
