The Nashville Predators will celebrate the NHL’s ‘Hockey is for Everyone’ month with a variety of hockey programming in February. ‘Hockey is for Everyone’ is a NHL initiative which provides support to develop on and off ice hockey programs as a positive and meaningful outlet for children and young teens to learn, compete, and grow. During the month of February the Predators will reach over 1,000 youth through hosting four Street Pride clinics, three Hockey Rules appearances, two Preds Player clinics, one G.O.A.L! program and one Preds Kids Club event to commemorate Hockey is for Everyone month.

The Street Pride program presented by UnitedHealthcare is an extension of NHL Street, which partners with over 40 local community centers, to donate free street hockey equipment. In February the Preds will be visiting Youth Encouragement Services, Watkins Community Center, Andrew Jackson Boys and Girls Club, and the Martha O’Bryan Center. Hockey Rules presented by UnitedHealthcare is an extension of the Street Pride program that introduces children to the basic fundamentals of hockey during their schools’ physical education classes. The Hockey Rules tour will be visiting Saint Bernard Academy, Harding Academy, and Liberty Elementary in February.

Continuing with Hockey is for Everyone month on February 16th and 23rd the Preds will host a USA Hockey ADM Player Clinic at A-Game Sportsplex and Centennial Sportsplex. This clinic allows young hockey players to improve their skills while interacting with Predators players and staff in a fun and challenging environment.

Earlier this season the team launched a new program for some of the Preds youngest fans, the Nashville Predators Kids Club presented by Delta Dental. Kids Club is filled to the brim with exciting features, special events, membership benefits, and so much more! On February 19, over 400 members will be invited to attend Preds morning practice at Bridgestone Arena for a behind the scenes look as to how professional hockey players prepare on-ice for a game. Kids Club is open to young Preds fans ages 13-and-under and features two fun-filled membership options – a free Rookie membership with monthly newsletter and a $20 All-Star membership which includes 2 tickets to a Preds game and more! To wrap up ‘Hockey is for Everyone’ the Preds will kick off another session of the Get Out And Learn! program on February 23rd. G.O.A.L! offers children ages 4 to 8 the opportunity to experience the excitement of hockey without the cost of purchasing equipment. In February alone the Preds Youth Marketing & Fan Development team will get close to 1,000 middle Tennessee youth involved in the sport of hockey.
