Ellis, Cehlin Star Again at World Juniors
Nashville Predators prospects Patrick Cehlin and Ryan Ellis had standout performances in Game 2 of the 2011 World Junior Championships. Cehlin, a forward selected in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, is leading Team Sweden with four points and nine shots on goal in two games at the '11 World Junior Championships, while Ellis, a defenseman selected in the first round of the '09 Entry Draft, leads all tournament defensemen with five points in two games.

Ellis picked up a goal and three assists on Tuesday to help Team Canada roll to a 7-2 win over Czech Republic. After the Czechs opened the scoring, Ellis assisted on the game's next two goals to allow the Canadians to enter the first intermission with a 2-1 lead. His mid-second period goal gave Canada a 4-1 lead and then added a third period assist. Team Canada is 2-0-0 on the tournament with Ellis serving as Team Captain.

After opening the tournament with a two-goal, one-assist performance, Cehlin assisted on the game's opening goal 10:49 into the first period as Team Sweden shutout Team Russia, 2-0, on Tuesday. At 2-0-0, the Swedes are tied for first with Canada in Pool B of the Preliminary Round, with Cehlin ranking third in the tournament at four points.

In other action, Team USA also improved to 2-0-0 on the tournament with a 6-1 win over Slovakia. The defending champion US squad sits in first place in Pool A.

Team Canada returns to action tomorrow vs. Norway, while USA and Sweden have a day off before playing next on Thursday (USA vs. Germany; Sweden vs. Czech Republic).
