Emails to the Editor: October 24, 2010
The first two weeks of the season are in the books and the Preds are off to a strong start and sit on top of the Western Conference standings entering tonight's game at Tampa Bay. Smashville's in full force and excitement is rising for the '10-11 season. Here's the best emails from the week. Have something to add? Shoot us a message and you could be involved in next week's Emails to the Editor. It's a new feature to the site and we had a limited number of submissions this week, but look forward to hearing your feedback!

Wes Henderson College night is GREAT. Just wish it was more often because on a college budget, it makes it difficult to muster up the cash for good seats!

Wendy McCroskey I appreciate the involvement the Preds...players, refs and all..have with children and the various charities. It makes me proud to be a fan.

Charles Eric Holland The Preds are playing some seriously courageous hockey despite some untimely injuries. You're right Greg, Klein really took it up a notch with Suter being out, and I think it's about time Marty gave someone a nice hit, while Toots seems to be drawing penalties instead of getting them. No Goc, no Suter, no Lombardi and our guys are still playing as tough as ever. Go Preds!

Has there been any discussion of the Preds playing any pre-season games in the regional markets with minor league teams and arena's? Namely, Knoxville, Memphis, Huntsville, or where ever they have an arena and Zamboni?
Timothy C (San Francisco, CA)
editor: At this point there is no discussion or plan to play any regional pre-season games to substitute for one at Bridgestone Arena.

What were the stipulations for the Mike Santorelli trade. We know it was a conditional 5th rounder but what are the conditions. No press release came out with the information on the trade and it's been about 2 months.
Ray B (Campbell, NY)
editor: As mentioned in the release posted on NashvillePredators.com the Preds are guaranteed a 2011 fifth round pick from the Panthers, but it could raise to a 2011 fourth round pick depending on Santorelli hitting some triggers. So far Santorelli has been a regular in the Panthers lineup.

For anyone who has ever been to a hockey game in Nashville you will notice that there is a section where they add about 3 or 4 chairs and you can sit IN BEWTEEN the 2 benches,How do I get those seats?
Rebecca Tucker (Murfreesboro, TN)
editor: Those are the Bench Seats, part of our Premium Seating options. Those seats tend to sell out quickly, so if you are interested in information about the Bench Seats, send an e-mail here and one of our ticket reps will contact you with game availability.

For those of us who weren't able to get to the Hockey Fights Cancer game in person, how can we donate?
Kathleen D. (Knoxville, TN)
editor: The Hockey Fights Cancer Game is just one of several events the Preds host during the season. If you are interested in donating -- or learning more about the cause -- check out nashvillepredators.com/beatcancer. If you missed the evening, here's a quick recap courtesy of PredsTV.
