Bridgestone Arena Wins IEBA Venue of the Year

Nashville Tenn. (October 12, 2010) – Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena has won the 2010 International Entertainment Buyers Association Venue of the Year Award.

“This is a great honor for the entire city of Nashville, Bridgestone Arena and Nashville Predators organization,” Chief Operating Officer/President of Bridgestone Arena and the Nashville Predators, Sean Henry said. “From the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, Predators playoff appearance, the Nashville Rising benefit concert, Paul McCartney’s first ever Nashville performance, Brooks and Dunn’s Last Rodeo to Keith Urban’s All for the Hall, this truly has been an incredible year. Our Vice President of Booking, Brock Jones, and the entire staff have done a phenomenal job in positioning us as a premier destination for the biggest tours, events and shows. We are pleased to be recognized as one of the leading arenas in the country. We are thankful for the recognition and to the many agents, managers, talent and fans that put us in the position for the recognition.”

IEBA was founded in 1970 as a non-profit trade organization for talent buyers, concert promoters, agents, managers, artists and other related entertainment professionals. This is Bridgestone Arena’s second IEBA Venue of the year award, the first coming in 2008.

  • NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Final Four 2014

Bridgestone Arena opened in December 1996. The facility has hosted more than 13 million guests for such events as the NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional Tournament, SEC and OVC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournament, as well as entertainers such as Paul McCartney Garth Brooks, Elton John and Billy Joel, Rolling Stones, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Jimmy Buffett. Bridgestone Arena has been the home of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators since 1998.
