1:58 pm CT
And Team Blue holds off the late six-on-five charge by Team White and wins 6-5.

1:54 pm CT
Jon Blum pulls Team White back within one goal, 5-4. Snuck the puck between Dekanich's pad glove. Dekanich had just made a number of real good saves on the shift before, but that was a tough one to allow. Still, credit Blum for pinching down low and joining the offensive rush.

1:53 pm CT
Lombardi-Flynn-Wilson line created a couple of high quality scoring chances. Three good saves by Dekanich in quick succession.

1:46 pm CT
Shea Weber gives Team Blue some breathing room. Almost looked like a change-up there; floated the puck high. Blue leads 6-4 with around 10:00 left in the game.

1:39 pm CT
Martin Erat pulls Team White within one goal, 5-4.

1:33 pm CT
Team Blue sneaks one in. Far end of the ice so hard to tell who pushed it through the scrum, but looks like Taylor Beck. Blue leads 5-3 early third period.

1:28 pm CT
Team Blue takes the shootout point -- Blue leads 4-3 heading into the third period.

1:23 pm CT
Second period in the books, 3-3 tie.

1:20 pm CT
Erat go-ahead chance waived off (net came off), but doesn’t discount the play Colin Wilson made to create the chance; tracked down the loose puck in the defensive zone and busted out for the two-on-one. Wilson drew the defense and make a creative backhand flip pass to Erat. Team Blue hustling back accidentally knocked the net off.

1:15 pm CT
Nice two-on-one breakout for Legwand and Jonas Andersson. Quality save by Rinne to keep White tied.

1:13 pm CT
Power-play/penalty shot for Team Blue. Michael Latta on the attempt; good save by Rinne to keep the score at 3-3.

1:10 pm CT
Tie score. Chris Mueller with the tap-in, but the play was created by O’Reilly; nifty stickwork to get to the front of the net. O’Reilly deked to his backhand. His first shot was saved by Dekanich, but he stayed with the play and pushed the puck over to Mueller for score. O’Reilly is having a good day. Besides the offensive creativity, he’s shown a disciplined two-way game; early in the second period he negated a Team White scoring chance with a good back-check.

1:05 pm CT
Big save by Lindback for Team Blue, robbing Nick Spaling. Spaling got free in the middle slot, took the pass, and laser-ed a shot far corner. Good read and reaction by Lindback to deflect it with the glove hand –being 6-6 and athletic is a big plus for a goaltender!

1:02 pm CT
Austin Watson’s goal brings Team Blue back within one, 3-2. Watson has been quietly efficient during the scrimmages – always seems to be in the right position and has made a couple of nice plays along the boards in both the offensive and defensive zones.

1:01 pm CT
Still 3-1, Team White. Wilson and Flynn created another quality scoring chance on Rinne – carried the puck to the front of the net and used their size to create space.

12:47 pm CT
First period over, 3-1 Team White lead. High caliber of play in the game, so far. Colin Wilson with a VERY good first frame for White. Cal O'Reilly had an impressive start up front for Team Blue.

12:41 pm CT
Ryan Flynn makes it 3-1. Francis Bouillon with the shot from the point. Flynn set the screen in front and tucked the rebound past Rinne. Good, strong play in front of the net by Flynn; continuing his solid play here this first week of camp (scrimmages and rookie games).

12:37 pm CT
Last goalie change of the period. Rinne re-enters, playing for Team Blue; Dekanich slides down for Team White and Lindback gets his first rest of the day.

12:34 pm CT
Team White takes the lead, 2-1. Matthew Lombardi driving the net and sliding home the loose puck.

12:33 pm CT
Tie game. Nice shot by Colin Wilson; snapped a wrister upper corner on the rush.

12:25 pm CT
Goalie change. Mark Dekanich enters for Team Blue, Lindback slides down for Team White, and Rinne takes his first rest.

Good quick pace here to the early part of the scrimmage. Ryan Ellis and Shea Weber look like an impressive pairing again, thusfar. Ellis looks really poised with the puck and in his positional reads.

12:19 pm CT
Team Blue gets on the board early; David Legwand with the goal.

12:14 pm CT
And the guys are switching sheets of ice; getting ready for the first period. Should start up in just a few minutes.

Lindback getting the start in net for Team Blue; Rinne for Team White.

10:42 am CT
Team Silver on the ice for practice today. Team White and Team Blue will likely start warming up in around an hour for their scrimmage.
