At each session Predators staff members were on hand to help kids get their skates on and laced up before skating with them.
“The Kids on Ice program is such an important aspect of our summer community outreach,” Nashville Predators Director of Community Relations Rebecca Ward said. “Some of these kids have never had the opportunity to even step out on a sheet of ice and by the time the session ends, they are laughing, skating around and having a great time. We love being able to provide these kids with new activities they may never have been exposed to before.”
Established in September 1998, the Predators Foundation strives to meet the educational, social, health and cultural needs of the community by offering unique resources and financial support to local youth-oriented organizations. All 501(c)3 organizations in Middle Tennessee are eligible to receive grants, which are distributed once a year.
