Preds Prospect Update: April 30
Preds prospects Taylor Beck and Ryan Ellis were honored with Second Team OHL All-Star recognition for their performances during the 2009-10 season. Ellis was limited to 48 games because of injuries and time with the World Junior team, but still finished the regular season with 12 goals and 61 points, good for fourth among OHL defensemen in points. Beck had a break-out campaign with season-highs of 39 goals and 93 points to rank fourth in the league in points and ninth in goals.

Ellis is still alive in post-season action as his Windsor Spitfires enter the OHL Championship Series vs. Barrie. Windsor came from down one game to three to win the OHL Conference Championship round, with Ellis scoring 26 points in the team's 15 games through the Conference playoffs. He ranks third in the league in points during the post-season and tops among all defensemen (more than 10 points ahead of the second-highest scoring d-man).

Gabriel Bourque is also still alive in post-season action as the Moncton Wildcats has advanced to the QMJHL Championship Series. Bourque has 11 goals and 16 points in 15 playoff games for Moncton. His 11 goals are tied for first in the league, while his three game-winning goals are second-most during the playoffs.

Over in Europe, goaltender Anders Lindback is gaining attention from the Swedish National Team. Since the end of his season with Timra, Lindback has participated in a series of National Team camps and exhibition tournaments. He appears to be among a select list of goaltenders under consideration for Sweden's World Championship squad.
