Preds Sign Ryan Flynn To Entry Level Contract
Nashville, Tenn. (April 2, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Ryan Flynn to a two-year, two-way contract. The deal will pay him $525,000 on the NHL level in each season, $40,000 at the American Hockey League level in 2010-11, and $45,000 in the AHL in 2011-12.

Flynn, 22 (3/22/88), recently completed his four-year collegiate career at the University of Minnesota, amassing 57 points (17g-40a) and 207 penalty minutes in 156 games from 2006-10. A co-captain as a senior in 2009-10 and alternate captain as a junior in 2008-09, the St. Paul, Minn., native missed just eight games during his Golden Gopher career, and ranked among the top four on the club in penalty minutes in all four seasons.

Nashville’s fourth choice, 176th overall (sixth round), in the 2006 Entry Draft, the 6-2, 216-pound right winger also played for the United States at the 2008 World Junior Championships, and led Team USA and finished fourth in the tournament in penalty minutes (16).
