Each season the Nashville Predators Foundation spotlights four grant recipients that do tremendous work in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee community. This year the Foundation board selected four unique and devoted organizations to partner with –Against the Grain, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, Martha O’Bryan Center and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville. Throughout the season, the Nashville Predators will partner with their Featured Charities as well as several other special organizations to host game-day drives.

Scheduled drives for the 2009-10 season are as follows:


Pencil Foundation School Supply Drive
Saturday, September 26, 2009 vs. Carolina Hurricanes

The Nashville Predators and Pencil Box will be collecting school supplies for students of all grade levels. Erasers, Pens, Pencils, and Rulers are all welcome! Donations will benefit LP Pencil Box, a free school supply store for educators that provides learning materials for impoverished students in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, and the Predators Foundation.

At the doors, donors will receive an exclusive discount ticket voucher for a future Predators game.


Martha O’Bryan Center Baby Supply Drive
Thursday, October 15, 2009 vs. Chicago Blackhawks

The Nashville Predators and Martha O’Bryan will be collecting baby supplies. Diapers and formula are in huge need. All donations will benefit Martha O’Bryan, a community resource center that provides holistic, creative and replicable solutions to support families and address intergenerational poverty.

Second Harvest Food Bank Food Drive
Thursday, Nov 19, 2009 vs. New Jersey Devils - Saturday Nov 21, 2009 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Nashville Predators and Second Harvest Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable foods of all types. Peanut butter, canned fruit, dried beans, macaroni & cheese, canned vegetables and boxed or bagged rice are welcomed. All donations will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

Toys for Toy Drive
Saturday, Dec 5, 2009 vs. Minnesota Wild - Saturday Dec 12, 2009 vs. Detroit Red Wings

The Nashville Predators and the United States Marines will be collecting toys for children of all ages. All donations will benefit Toys for Tots.

Ronald Mc Donald House - Household Supply Drive
Saturday, February 6, 2010 vs. San Jose Sharks

The Nashville Predators and Ronald McDonald House will be collecting household supplies. All donations will benefit Ronald McDonald House, an organization which provides essential resources and a “home away from home” for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at Nashville area hospitals.

Against the Grain Baby Supply Drive
Saturday, March 20, 2010 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Nashville Predators and Against the Grain will be collecting baby supplies. All donations will benefit Against the Grain, an organization which demonstrates the love of Christ by empowering single mothers and their children, enabling them to become responsible leaders in their homes and communities.
