By Press Release  - Nashville Predators
Nashville, Tenn. (September 15, 2009) – The National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the team’s television broadcast partner FOX Sports Tennessee announced today that the network will televise 55 Nashville Predators’ regular-season games this season, including 35 of 41 road games and 20 home contests from the Sommet Center. The telecasts will reach cable and satellite households across Tennessee, Kentucky and northern portions of Alabama and Mississippi. FOX Sports Tennessee will release the HD schedule at a later date.

The first FOX Sports Tennessee telecast of the season is the Predators’ regular-season opener on Saturday, October 3 at Dallas (7 p.m. CT). Other highlights from FOX Sports Tennessee’s 2009-10 coverage include the Predators’ home opener on Thursday, October 8 vs. Colorado (7 p.m. CT), four games against Central Division-rival Detroit Red Wings and a Valentine’s Day game at the Mellon Arena vs. the 2009 defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Sixteen of the club’s final 17 regular-season games will also be televised by FOX Sports Tennessee.

The FOX Sports Tennessee broadcast duo of play-by-play announcer Pete Weber and analyst Terry Crisp enter their twelfth season calling Predators’ action. In addition to game telecasts, Weber and Crisp will co-host Predators LIVE expended post-game coverage on FOX Sports Tennessee. Predators’ players and personnel will also be featured in original programs on FOX Sports Tennessee. This season the Predators again return to a split broadcast format similar to the one instated in 2008-2009, separating the television and radio productions to better cater to both audiences.

The Predators will have at least one game on national NHL rightsholder Versus: Monday, November 23 vs. the Detroit Red Wings at the Sommet Center.
