Trotz, Preds Support Best Buddies "5 For Friendship"

With training camp just around the corner, most fans would assume that Head Coach Barry Trotz has his mind on nothing but the approaching season. But even Trotz, the boss of the Nashville Predators bench, took some time this weekend to help promote a worthwhile cause.

This past Saturday, Trotz gathered a group of Predators front-office staff and participated in the Best Buddies “5 for Friendship” 5K in Franklin. The 5K was designed to help create awareness for Best Buddies, a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Trotz and nine other Nashville Predators employees raced as a team on Saturday with two members of the team placing within their age division. President of Business Operations Ed Lang was one of the team members who placed.
