The neighborhood kids of the Bennington subdivision took to the streets after school to find some time for hockey. Even with the clouds rolling in the day ended up getting even brighter when they were greeted by two NHL players who showed up to participate in a friendly hockey match. The kids stood motionless as the Preds caravan arrived into the neighborhood clubhouse not knowing what was about to unfold.

This was one afternoon these children will not soon forget.
Taking Hockey to the Streets is a grassroots marketing initiative in which members of the Nashville Predators organization make unannounced visits to neighborhoods where kids routinely gather to play street hockey. The program gives young fans an exciting opportunity to interact with Predators players, coaches, team mascot Gnash and/or staff literally in their front yard. The Predators arrive equipped with street hockey nets, sticks, balls and goalie equipment – everything needed for a friendly game of Predators versus the neighborhood. The program aims to promote and grow hockey participation at the grassroots level in middle Tennessee.
