Predators World Junior Championships Main Page
NashvillePredators.com will cover all the action from this year's World Junior Championships , which will run from Dec. 26 - Jan. 5 in Ottawa, Ontario, with special emphasis on the Predators prospects participating in the tournament.

This year the Preds have four prospects participating in the World Juniors, representing three different countries. Nashville's 2007 first round pick, Jonathon Blum, will captain Team USA, while 2008 first round picks Colin Wilson (USA) and Chet Pickard (Canada) and '08 seventh round pick Jani Lajunen (Finland) will also play in the tournament.

World Junior Championships News & Notes:
Preds 2008 second round pick Roman Josi participated for Switzerland in the Under-20 Division I-A World Junior Tournament, scoring 3 goals and 5 points in 5 games with a +10 plus/minus rating and 15 shots on goal to lead Switzerland to a 5-0 record and promotion into the top division for next year’s World Junior Championships. Josi also added the game-winning goal with 3:09 left in the third period of Switzerland’s 2-1 win over second-place Belarus in the final game of the tournament, to secure Switzerland’s promotion next year. For his performance, Josi was named the Best Defenseman of the Tournament by the Tournament Directorate.
