Pickard To Attend Hockey Canada Evaluation Camp
Predators prospect Chet Pickard has been named to Hockey Canada's World Junior Championship evaluation camp. The camp, which begins Dec. 11, features three on-ice days before closing on Dec. 15 with the selection of the team.

Pickard, a 2008 First Round pick and the first goaltender selected in the '08 Entry Draft, is one of four goaltenders at the evaluation camp. He has opened the '08-09 season with a 15-7-0-2 record, a 2.73 goals against average, and a .907 save percentage. He is unbeaten in his last four WHL starts, stopping 115 of 121 shots in the process (.950 save percentage, 1.50 goals against average). Pickard also picked up a 16-save shutout against Team Russia on Nov. 26 in the ADT Canada/Russia Challenge.
