Preds Activate Tarnasky Off IR
The Nashville Predators have activated forward Nick Tarnasky off Injured Reserve, team President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today. Tarnasky, who was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning on September 29, has missed the first six games of the regular season due to an injury.

Tarnasky, 23, has played 169 National Hockey League games with the Lightning since 2005-06, amassing 20 points (11g-9a) and 162 penalty minutes. He attained career highs in games played (80), goals (6) and points (10) in 2007-08, in addition to tying a career best for assists (4). A native of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, the 6-2, 224-pound center also played six playoff games for Tampa Bay in 2007. He was originally Tampa’s eighth selection (ninth round, 287th overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft held in Nashville.

Today's roster move gives the Predators 23 players on the active roster, two goaltenders, seven defensemen, and 14 forwards.
