Another day of on-ice workouts today. Not too much else to report. Jason Arnott and Greg de Vries, who were both a little under the weather this weekend, skated for the second straight day. Nick Tarnasky, acquired from Tampa Bay late yesterday afternoon, had not yet arrived, but is anticipated to join the team before the final three preseason games.

On Cal O’Reilly…
“I was really happy with Cal. He got hurt a few days before camp in a workout and scrimmage that the guys had; fell awkwardly into the corner and hurt his back. So he missed a lot of training camp. We got him back and we got him into a couple practices and put him into a game. I thought he did pretty well. I started him slowly and saw he was skating well and having no problem with the pace, so I started moving him into Fidds’ spot because Fidds was playing the power-play and penalty kill. I was happy with Cal. Cal has been the best offensive player in Milwaukee probably the last year and a half. He has good vision, he’s got good instincts. He’s a playmaker more than a shooter. There are certain things I want him to change in his game, number one, I got to shoot a little bit more. Number two, not always be as “cute.” Sometimes you have to get into those hard areas. Just as I said about Santorelli, if the game’s calling for you to grind, you have to grind. If the game’s a wide open skill game and you have to make plays, you do that. He got into a little bit of a physical grind game against Columbus and he was adjusting to it, so it was good. I felt through what Cal has done over the last year and a half, it would be beneficial for him to be here."

Cal O’Reilly
On playing in Saturday's preseason game vs. Columbus...
"It was good to get into a game, especially hurting myself early like that, I didn’t expect to get in any games. To heal that quickly, the trainers did a great job to get me back quickly, so I was lucky enough to get into a game."

On his performance in Saturday's preseason game vs. Columbus...
"I felt I played pretty good. I was happy with how I played. A little bit rusty, but I felt I had a pretty good game."

On how he's feeling in practice...
"Good. It was a good practice today. Legs felt pretty good. Still getting the rust off my hands and getting my skating legs, but other than that, pretty good."
