Game Preview from Milwaukee Admirals Head Coach Lane Lambert
On what he's looking for out of tonight's game...
"I think that we’re looking for guys to step up. It’s the first game of this year and lot of guys’ first games in the Nashville Predators organization. It is fun to get it started and play against a team from another organization. I think part of what we’re looking for is coming together as a group."

On which players he's most interested in seeing tonight...
"For me Robert Dietrich is a guy I want to see how he can handle it, adjusting to North America. Teemu Laakso is another guy on the blueline. And Jon Blum. Obviously our goaltenders, all three of them. I have a pretty good idea on the guys who played in Milwaukee last year, but Nick Spaling, Mark Santorelli, and pretty much all of the first year guys who I haven’t seen play, I’m interested to see what they have in game situations. It’s exciting to see all of these guys and see where they’re at developmentally."

On the plan for the three goaltenders...
"We’re going to play each goalie for a period, so all three are going to dress. (Goaltending Coach) Mitch (Korn) made the decision on that, and it’s really the most fair way to use them. Dekanich is going to start tonight, then Smith, then Pickard. We’ll reverse the order tomorrow."

Stephen Werner (2008 Preds Training Camp)
On training camp invitee Stephen Werner…
"He’s a guy you can put into that category as to who we really want to look at. He’s a guy in camp on a NHL tryout. He’s signed to an AHL/ECHL contract with us. He’s a big piece of the puzzle from an organizational standpoint for depth. I’m certainly interested in seeing him. He scored nine goals in 30 games for Springfield in the AHL last year, so he’s got speed, you can see that through the first few days of camp. I’m interested to see a little more about his strengths and weaknesses."
