Davidson, Rutherford, Sumner and Williamson counties. Between May and August the Summerfest Tour made visits to summer youth sports programs throughout middle Tennessee community centers, in-line hockey associations, Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCA’s, which provided kids an opportunity to learn more about the Predators and the game of hockey. Each stop included demonstrations by the Predators Amateur and Youth Department covering topics such as Predators team history, hockey equipment 101, interactive street hockey skills and Predators giveaways for all participants. When it didn’t look like it couldn’t get any hotter, Predators team mascot, Gnash, showed up and joined the games. The overall goal of the Summerfest Tour was to promote the Nashville Predators and the sport of hockey at the grassroots level.

The Predators Hot Shots Summerfest Tour made stops at the following facilities, Bellevue YMCA, Boys and Girls Club Preston Taylor, Boys and Girls Club Thompson Lane, Brentwood YMCA, Franklin Road Academy Summer Camp, Girl Scouts of America Day Camp, Hendersonville Inline Hockey Association, Fannie Battle, Franklin YMCA, Joe C. Davis YMCA Camp Widjiwagan, Maryland Farms YMCA, North Rutherford YMCA, Oak Hill Day Camp, Sumner County YMCA, Youth Encouragement Services Lindsley Center & St. Luke’s and Youth Incorporated.

The Preds Amateur & Youth Hockey Department will take a brief break to prepare for the upcoming season. Then it will be back to work in the community for the Preds Hot Shots program visiting local elementary and middle school physical education classes during the school year.
