Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators kicks off the ninth annual hockey school today, Monday July 7 and will run through Friday, July 11, 2008 at Centennial Sportsplex, the official practice facility of the Predators.
Close to 90 participants, boys and girls of all skill levels, ages 8-14, will hit the ice at the Sportsplex for the Nashville Predators 2008 Hockey School presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee. This informative and action-packed week will feature on and off-ice instruction from Predators' coaching staff and prospects. Led by Predators Video Coach Robert Bouchard, the school will feature guest instruction by Associate Coach Brent Peterson and Strength and Conditioning Coach David Good. Over the past years, Predators prospects Blake Geoffrion, Kelsey Wilson, Jeremy Smith and others have made guest appearances.
Youth attending the hockey school will be challenged daily with two-and-a-half hours of ice time, intensive dry-land conditioning, power skating, passing, shooting, off-ice training techniques and video analysis. Other features of the camp include lectures on nutrition, injury prevention, equipment maintenance and perspectives from Nashville Predators personnel.
