Predators Recall Josh Langfeld from AHL
Nashville, Tenn. (April 18, 2008) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Josh Langfeld from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Langfeld, 30 (7/17/77), has appeared in 143 NHL games with five teams, including two with Nashville earlier this season (0g-0a, 0 penalty minutes), posting 32 points (9g-23a) and 60 penalty minutes. He spent last season as a member of the Detroit Red Wings organization, splitting his time between Detroit and Grand Rapids (AHL).

Originally Ottawa’s third choice, 66th overall (third round), in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Langfeld  has never appeared in an NHL playoff game. He has appeared in 27 post-season games at the AHL level, including Game 1 of this year's Calder Cup series between Milwaukee and Chicago. In the Admirals opening game of the Calder Cup Playoffs on Wednesday, the Fridley, Minn., native registered a hat trick and four points (3g-1a) in a win at Chicago. The 6-3, 210-pound right wing also registered 29 points (22g-7a) in 44 regular-season games with Milwaukee in 2007-08

The Predators and the Detroit Red Wings clash for Game Five of their Western Conference Quarterfinals series tonight at Joe Louis Arena (6:30 p.m. CT) with best-of-seven series currently tied at two games apiece. The game will be televised locally on FSN South and broadcast on 104.5 The Zone (WGFX 104.5-FM).
