2008 Predators Cup Finals Set for This Weekend

- Four Tennessee high school hockey teams to compete for state championship –

The road to the Preds Cup continues this weekend! The finals will be set on Friday, March 21 at Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville, with the winners of the two semifinal matchups advancing. The Pope John Paul II Knights (Nashville area) will take on the Hendersonville Commandos (Nashville area) at 6:30 p.m. and the Collierville Dragons (Memphis area) will take on the Metro Pirates (Knoxville Area) at 8:00 p.m. These semi-final games are open to the public and admission is free.

Winners from the two semi-finals will go on to play each other in the Preds Cup Championship game at the Sommet Center on Saturday, March 22 at approximately 5:15 p.m. The game will begin 45 minutes after the conclusion of the Predators vs. Blackhawks game which starts at 2:00 p.m. Preds Cup is open to the public and admission is free, seating is general admission and all spectators are asked to enter though the Sommet Center South Entrance located on the corner of Demonbreun and 5th Ave (adjacent to the Country Music Hall of Fame).

iQtv10 has teamed up with the Nashville Predators and six other educational access channels statewide to air the eighth annual Predators Cup Tennessee High School Hockey Championship title game in late March/early April. iQtv10, Wilson County’s WBBN Channel 9, Williamson County’s WBHS9 Channel 9, Knoxville’s WISE Channel 10, Germantown’s GHS-TV Channel 17, Williamson County Schools’s WC-TV Comcast 3/Charter 96, and Collierville High School’s channel will all simultaneously air the 2008 Predators Cup on Friday, March 28, at 7p.m., and iqtv10 has additional showings of the contest on Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, April 2 at 8 p.m.
