Predators eliminate Premium Plus Pricing
The Nashville Predators are starting the 2008 calendar year by eliminating the Premium Plus Pricing program that was implemented prior to the 2007-08 season, it was announced today by Predators’ President of Business Operations Ed Lang, impacting three remaining games this season.

The Premium Plus Pricing program was in effect for the following three games:  Tuesday, February 12 vs. Detroit; Thursday, March 20 vs. Detroit and the home finale on Thursday, April 3 vs. St. Louis. Tickets for those three games will be reduced by as much as $39 a seat. To illustrate the pricing changes, a lower level seat under the premium plus pricing program was $120. That seat will now be $89 for the three games. An upper level seat that was $45 under the premium plus pricing will now be $35.

“Our ownership group is committed to filling the Sommet Center on a regular basis,” Lang said. “While we recognize the need to increase our revenues, we want to do everything possible to have a sold-out building for the most desirable games and making tickets to those games more affordable helps us accomplish our goals. We want to be a fan-friendly and responsive organization and believe this decision demonstrates ownership’s objectives.”

Individuals who have already purchased tickets to any of the three games remaining at the Premium Plus Pricing levels (Feb. 12 vs. Detroit, Mar. 20 vs. Detroit and April 3 vs. St. Louis) will be entitled to receive an additional ticket to a designated upcoming game for every ticket purchased at the Premium Plus Pricing level. Letters outlining this initiative have already been sent to those who have purchased tickets via credit card. Anyone who purchased tickets with cash or without providing any personal information are invited to bring their premium plus priced ticket to the Predators box office to receive the additional ticket(s).

Predators ticket prices remain significantly below the NHL average ticket prices. Season ticket prices begin at $17 per game while individual game ticket prices begin at $20 for designated games.
