Scott Nichol welcomes the Southern Ice Mite Team to the Predators Player Clinic presented by Delta Dental.
During the month of November, more than 175 local youth hockey players have participated in Predators Player Clinics presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee at Southern Ice Arena in Franklin. The clinics teach young players basic hockey skills needed to excel in the game.  Various Predators players have dedicated their time to teach youth hockey players from Termites (ages 4-6), Mites (ages 6-8) and Squirts (ages 8-10) house and travel teams in Middle Tennessee.  Nashville Predators Amateur & Youth Hockey staff along with Preds players Radek Bonk, J.P. Dumont, Martin Gelinas, Dan Hamhuis, Darcy Hordichuk, Jerred Smithson and Ryan Suter assisted with coaching on-ice drills aimed to enhance the youngsters’ talent.  Preds players stressed the importance of basics of hockey skills - skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting.  Participants received Predators’ and Delta Dental giveaways and had the opportunity to receive an autograph from their favorite Predators players.

Predators Player Clinics presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee are hosted by the Nashville Predators Amateur & Youth Hockey Department throughout the season as a part of the team’s mission to support and develop youth hockey within the community.  Clinics are free to participants and designed to give youth hockey players a chance to improve their hockey skills and interact with Predators players and staff in a fun and challenging environment.

  • Dec. 7: NYHL Mites House League at Centennial Sportsplex
  • Dec. 20: NYHL Mite and Squirt Travel Leagues at Centennial Sportsplex
  • Jan. 4: NYHL Termite Leagues at Centennial Sportsplex
  • Jan. 16: NYHL Squirt House League at Centennial Sportsplex
