The Nashville Predators would like to congratulate Arthur Williams of Margaret Allen Middle School as the Predators Teacher of the Month for Davidson County. Arthur Williams, who teaches and coaches grades 5 through 8, received an unexpected visit late one afternoon when GNASH busted into his last-period gym class to honor him with this distinction. Coach Williams seemed thoroughly surprised by the sudden visit and is very excited to be attending a Nashville Predators game in the near future.

“There has been only one P.E. coach and that is Arthur Williams. He is now, after 34 years, teaching children and grandchildren of students he has taught. Coach Williams is the person in the school that every child knows and he talks constantly about respect and what the world should be like. Coach Williams is truly an all-around educator, mentor, friend and most of all a true advocate for every child in our building. We have thought for the last year or two he might retire but he truly wanted to see us get sports up and going. Last year was our first for boy’s soccer and we almost made it to the city championshps. He decided to come back one more year, we are almost certain this will be his last year to teach."
