By Press Release  - Nashville Predators
The National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the team’s television broadcast partner FSN South announced today that the network will televise 55 Nashville Predators regular-season games this season, including 29 of 41 road games and 26 home contests at the Sommet Center.  The telecasts will reach more than 3.3 million viewers across Tennessee, Kentucky and northern portions of Alabama and Mississippi.

Calling all the Predators action on FSN South will be team play-by-play announcer Pete Weber and color analyst Terry Crisp.  The Predators will return to a simulcast this season after producing separate broadcasts for television and radio in 2006-07. In addition, FSN South will air the Predators' 30-minute pre-game show, Predators Game Night, live from the Sommet Center, before 23 home game telecasts. FSN South will also air Predators Snapshot, a monthly magazine-style show, throughout the season.

The first FSN South broadcast of the season is the Predators’ regular-season opener on Thursday, October 4 against the Colorado Avalanche at the Sommet Center. Other highlights from FSN South’s 2007-08 coverage schedule include three games against the Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks, four contests vs. Nashville’s 2007 playoff opponent, the San Jose Sharks, and six games against the Central Division rival Detroit Red Wings. FSN will also televise the game vs. the Florida Panthers on October 27 when Tomas Vokoun makes his return to the Music City.

The Predators will have at least one game on national NHL rightsholder Versus: February 5 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes at the Sommet Center. The Predators could also have up to two more games televised nationally on NBC’s NHL “Game of the Week”. NBC will offer flexible scheduling this season for its nine regular season dates and will be able to select from up to four games on Sunday afternoons. Nashville’s games vs. Detroit on March 9 and March 30 (both at Joe Louis Arena) could be chosen as NBC’s NHL “Game of the Week”.
