On Friday afternoon, recently acquired forward Jed Ortmeyer made his first official appearance as a Predator. During a media availability at the Predators' practice facility, Ortmeyer answered questions on topics including the city of Nashville, penalty killing, and the decision the come to Nashville as a free agent earlier this month.
"On the day of free agency, I got calls from all the [Predators] coaches and the management and they were excited about selling me on the program here, [for me] to come here and be part of the family," Ortmeyer said. "Their excitement to try and get me here really made me feel like I was wanted and made it an easy decision."
