More than 90 hockey skaters and goaltenders hit the ice Monday, as the Nashville Predators 2007 Hockey School began at Centennial Sportsplex, the Nashville Predators' official practice facility.

The 9th Predators Hockey School presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee continues to be one of the most popular amateur and youth hockey programs offered by the Predators. Selling out months before the summer, Predators Hockey School is geared towards boys and girls ages 8 to 14 of all skill levels. This informative and action-packed week features on and off-ice instruction from the Predators' coaching staff and prospects.

Predators video coach Robert Bouchard returns for his eighth year as the lead on-ice instructor. On- and off-ice staff this year includes Preds strength and conditioning coach David Good, Preds hockey operations manager Brandon Walker, Preds amateur & youth hockey coordinator Andee Boiman and guest instructors Ken Carroll (CHL Shreveport Mud Bugs goaltender), Pat Haney (an experienced Canadian amateur hockey coach) and Dean Stork (ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones assistant coach). Predators prospects Kelsey Wilson and Jeremy Smith will make on-ice guest appearances throughout the week.

Hockey School participants will be challenged daily with more than two hours of ice time, intensive dry land conditioning, power skating, passing, shooting, off-ice training techniques and video analysis. Other features of the camp include lectures on nutrition, injury prevention, equipment maintenance and perspectives from Nashville Predators personnel.
