David Legwand delivers a food box to WAVES, Inc. during the Predators' Thanksgiving Outreach.

On Monday, November 13, the Nashville Predators partnered with Levy Restaurants and Publix to deliver turkeys and baskets full of holiday fixings to five nonprofit organizations in the Middle Tennessee area. Predators players and team mascot GNASH delivered turkey baskets, signed autographs, and took pictures with the residents. Levy Restaurants donated the turkeys and the food boxes were created by Publix of Brentwood.

Defenseman Ryan Suter, forward David Legwand and GNASH made the day's first stop at WAVES, Inc., an organization that enables individuals with developmental disabilities to progress toward their full potential. From there they went to The Martin Center of Senior Citizens, Inc., which provides group and individual activities and services for persons ages 55 and older to support an independent lifestyle and foster dignity and self-worth.

Forward Scott Nichol joined the trio for a trip to My Friend's House in Franklin. The organization treats a population that includes children who have a long history of dependency and neglect, emotional issues, substance abuse issues, unruly and delinquent behavior, and physical and emotional abuse.

Nichol and GNASH then paid visits to the Center for Living and Learning--a private, non-profit residential and vocational program for persons who have experienced severe and persistent mental illness--and Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, which provides residential and spiritual care to orphaned, neglected, abandoned, and abused children.

A total of 50 turkeys were distributed during the annual Predators Thanksgiving tradition.
