Predators forward Scott Nichol demonstrates stickhandling to hockey players at the Predators Player Clinic.
The Predators' Amateur & Youth Hockey Department staff along with Bouchard, Peterson, Nichol, Sullivan and Weber conducted two one-hour clinics for players from the Nashville Youth Hockey League Mite (ages 8 and under) and Squirt (ages 9 and 10) divisions' House League teams. The youngsters were treated to a night with the Predators at their home rink, temporarily trading in their coaches for Predators players who managed various skill stations. The Predators encouraged the players to challenge themselves through basic hockey drills including skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting. At the conclusion of the clinic, Nichol, Peterson, Weber and the Predators' mascot, GNASH, signed autographs.
The clinic was free to participants and designed to give local youth hockey players a chance to work on their hockey skills and interact with Predators players and coaching staff in a fun and challenging environment. All participants received Predators giveaways and a chance to receive an autograph from their favorite Predators player.
These clinics are hosted by the Nashville Predators Amateur & Youth Hockey Department throughout the year as part of the organization's mission to support the local youth hockey community.
