Admirals' broadcaster Schultz passes
"We are profoundly saddened by the passing this weekend of our broadcaster and friend Kyle Schultz. Kyle had a great love of life, family, hockey and the Milwaukee Admirals and his voice will always be linked to some of the greatest moments in Admirals history.
"Kyle's calls were heard throughout the world in a career that spanned parts of 13 seasons. Kyle's enthusiasm made him unique among radio announcers and made you feel like you were his neighbor after meeting or hearing him for just the first time.
"Kyle will truly be missed by all those who came in contact with him over the years. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and wish them comfort during this difficult time."
Kyle recently began his third season as the Admirals broadcaster and was behind the mic when the team captured the 2004 Calder Cup Championship, the only professional championship in the organization's history. Prior to working for the Admirals, Kyle called games for teams in both the International and East Coast Hockey Leagues.
